Twelve years and 17 resolutions soon, world opinion is near unanimous that he hasn’t gotten rid of his weapon or fulfilled the conditions of the cease-fire. The Resolution was unanimously passed a few months ago mandating full disarmament. The resent disagreement involves essentially how Saddam should be disarmed-by force or by continued U.N. weapons inspections.

7. We can remove our troops from Saudi Arabia and much of the Arab world if he is gone.

9. Majority of Arab governments want Saddam to disappear.

11. Saddam doesn’t want to go back the treasure he stole from Kuwait throughout the Gulf war.
