The pros and cons of war in Iraq are; Saddam Hussein has run a cruel dictatorship of the country in Iraq for over 20 years. He started wars aligned with neighboring countries of Iran and Kuwait, top to the death of 1.5 million Muslims. Twelve years and 17 resolutions soon, world opinion is near unanimous that he hasn’t gotten rid of his weapon or fulfilled the conditions of the cease-fire. The Resolution was unanimously passed a few months ago mandating full disarmament. The resent disagreement involves essentially how Saddam should be disarmed-by force or by continued U.N. weapons inspections.

Iraqi Oil Production Essential to First World Economic Growth and The Stability of Iraq Too

We have an unfortunate dilemma in Iraq right now, and that is the flow of oil is not increasing fast enough to meet the increasing demand in the market place. Also, as we approach $100 per barrel oil prices, it’s going to take its toll on the first world industrialized nations. It is my contention that if we can being up oil production, the money flows will help the economy, pay for security, and maybe give a breathing room for the parliament to do a little political magic?

Last month, I was discussing this issue and my acquaintance thus, asked me; “How hard is it to bring oil production up to speed quicker?”

Iraq is a country in Western Asia bordered by Jordon, Syria, Turkey, Iran, Kuwait and Saudi Arabia. Baghdad is the capital of Iraq and lies in the center-east of the country. Iraq has a long history of invasions and wars, be it World war, Civil war, Gulf war or other invasions. In the wake of continuous wars and conflicts, the economies of countries like Iraq and Afghanistan have been devastated. The latest freedom for Iraq was from the regime of Saddam Hussein who was ruling the country for almost long 25 years while neglecting its development.

The economy of Iraq is, of course, not as stable as other Middle East countries and the condition is further worsened with the global economic slowdown. The finance sector of Iraq is still recovering from the major blows of the recession and of the Saddam Hussein rule. Jobs in Iraq are now in plenty as the Government and other major companies of Iraq are making efforts and promising generation of career opportunities for both civilians and expatriates.
